PCB board prototyping is usually just one of many steps in product design. Often an electronic enclosure or special mechanical parts are required as well. With the Proto-Mill 15 and Proto-Mill 20 you can accomplish these tasks as well. These machines have true 3 axis CNC capabilities and can therefore be of great value in your product or enclosure design. You can use the 2D Design Software (optional) to quickly design 2D shapes, or 3D CAD data (e.g. DXF file format) to mill 3D shapes with the included 3D CAM Software. A 3D digitizing head is included for reverse engineering applications.

Each system comes with everything you need to make PCB board prototypes. We include a tool set with different size milling tools, copper clad board(s), sacrifice material, a tutorial on PCB board milling, Software and, of course, the machine of your choice. The software allows you to capture schematic drawings of your electronic circuit and then convert these into actual layouts. Once a layout has been created you can then send the layout information to the machine and start milling you circuit. Not only does the system mill or engrave your circuit it can also drill holes for through hole components and route the circuit board to the desired shape, fully automated.You have also the option to manually create a PCB layout and then mill out the traces and pads.
